City throw it away again
After as good a 45 minutes as we've seen from the Canaries this season, in which they totally dominated their opponents, they somehow managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

It's one step forward and two back
If nothing else, Saturday's excellent victory at Nottingham Forest should have reminded the Canaries exactly what they are capable of when they put their minds to it.

Courage the key to City’s vital victory
This one can be summed up pretty much in a nutshell. Apart from a 20- minute spell immediately after they had scored an excellent goal - barely a minute after having been reduced to 10 men - the Canaries were absolutely superb at the City Ground.

City collapse follows first half promise
After a bright opening half in which they were unfortunate not to have enjoyed a healthy lead, two minutes of defensive madness at the start of the second half ultimately cost the Canaries yet another three points.

Two points squandered by Canaries
After 10 minutes of Saturday's game, you just wondered if it was going to be another one of those days for Norwich City.
As if things hadn't begun badly enough with the Canaries conceding an awful goal less than two minutes into the contest, they then lost Dejan Stefanovic with what looked like a nasty injury.

Lots to worry about after another loss
Turf Moor hasn't exactly been the best of hunting grounds for the Canaries in recent years.
There was that notable 5-3 victory four years ago of course, but cold, wet and windy weather, below-par displays and even wasted journeys in terms of one game being postponed because of what amounted to small sprinkling of water in one corner of the pitch has meant that by and large Burnley away has resonated with the sound of misery as far as City are concerned.

City lacking the two main ingredients
Prior to kick-off last night, I suppose that the ideal performance that we could have asked for from the Canaries would have been a combination of the quality exhibited in the Wolves game and the perseverance that was evident against Doncaster last week.

Determined City earned their reward
I suppose we could refer to Saturday's game as a case of “After the Lord Mayor's Show” given that City were so far removed from the team that ripped Wolves to pieces at Carrow Road four days earlier.

Everyone can look forward to Doncaster
As City boss Glenn Roeder was quick to point out after his side's magnificent demolition of then league leaders Wolves in midweek, the performance and result must not now be allowed to go to waste.

City finally cash in on their chances
Some people might find it difficult to explain how the Canaries managed to turn last night's clash, with the best team in the division, into an absolute rout.

Grim reality outweighs plus points
There is fact and then there is reality. Here are the facts. Just under seven months ago, the Canaries delivered one of their best away performances of the season at Ashton Gate.

City did not do enough to earn win
As in the game against Queen's Park Rangers last month, the Canaries once again failed to answer the questions asked of them by 10-man opposition. Desperate to secure a much-needed win ahead of the next international break, City never really slipped into gear in the manner required to get the job done.

Good signs but it's goals that count
When things haven't necessarily gone according to plan in recent matches, you wait for a response and reaction. While the effort and honesty of the Norwich players at Barnsley on Saturday couldn't be called into question, the spark and attacking threat which had surprisingly but pleasantly become a feature of their early season performances was undoubtedly missing.
