Your tributes to Jim Cushing

Jim CushingTributes to, and memories of Jim Cushing, who was stabbed to death after an argument over a bonfire.

To pay tribute to Jim, e-mail eveningnews@archant.co.uk

As the year that we lost Jim is here (13th June) we as a family are still grieving we will remember that day forever.

Jim is always in our hearts and all the fond memories we have of him will live on for always. He would have been so proud of Kim and the way she is bringing their lovely son Kyle up he is a credit to them both.

Always remembered the good times

Aunt Jeanette Uncle Brian xxxxxxxxxxx Leslie John Ryan Liam Kieran Aaron.xxxxxxxx Gary Chris Naomi Lysette and Michael xxxxxxxxxxx R.I.P.

Dear Jim. Our love goes out to Kim, Kyle and all her family. They say God only takes the best, but the way he took you was so unfair. You were a great husband and a brilliant dad, you will be missed by a great many people.
Sleep tight Jim,

Love from Auntie Sue, Uncle Chris, Darren, Georgina, Lee and Michelle xxxx

I would just like to send my condolences to Kim and their son on such a tragic and needless loss. I used to work with Jimmy when I was a delivery driver for the same company, I remember being out the night they meet in the old Chicago's and going on his stag do when we went paintballing. Kim brought happy times for Jim. I might have lost touch with him when I left but I have never forgotten. All my best for the future to Kim and their son.

'Charlie' Parker

I first met Jim and his wife back in December 05, when our baby boys were ill in hospital with problems with their chests. We got to spend a few days on the ward with them, shared a few laughs, shared our worries for the boys and offered each other reassurance when ever we could. Turned out we only lived a few yards from each other, and we would often bump into each other in the streets and compare notes on the children. I can honestly say that they appeared to be a very happy and loving family, always took the time to say hello. My husband only saw Jim at carrow road a few weeks back at the England under 21 match and again shared a laugh. I can not believe what a cruel world we live in , to take someone so young and so loved by all his family. My heart go out to all of his family especially Kim and Kyle. You are all in our thoughts.

Sharon, Neil, Lewis,Kaomi and Jack xxxxx

May you rest in peace jim xxxx

Dear Jim, our condolences goes out to Kim,Kyle and now that you will live on through Kyle and will always be with us, we will miss your sense of humour and the laughs and giggles what we have had. We will miss you Jim but will always be in our thoughts, you was a star and a star will always shine bright.Rest in peace mate god bless from Neil, Marisa, Chris xxxxx

We know of Jimmy and Kim through Ian having worked along side him for the past 10 years. Both of them made Sarah feel very welcome the 1st time she met them ( xmas work do) we had'nt known each other long at the time so Sarah was very nervous.
We were both glad the three of you could come along to our wedding last year. Kyle is a tribute to you both.Sarah can remember saying good bye late on and Kyle still being wide awake taking everything in.
Mere words cant describe our feelings when we heard this news. Our thoughts are with Kim, Kyle, Jims family and all that knew him.
Ian and Sarah

Our hearts go out to Kim & kyle with the sad loss of a loving husband & devoted daddy.
A tragic waste of a young life, but will never be forgotten by those who knew & loved him.
We sadly did not know you, but your last minutes of life will remain in our thoughts forever.
Karen & Brian

Taken so tragically and suddenly without a chance to say goodbye to those you loved so much.
Rest in peace Jim.
Love from Auntie Irene, Uncle David, Gavin, and Neil. xxxx.

Francesca from WNP

Dear Kim and Master Kyle Our love and thoughts go out to you both – also both families – a senseless death of a well loved husband and dad XXX

SAD WORLD

Why is it we are cruel, unjust and unkind?

To other peoples pain, we are blind

We live in violence, darkness and hate

Leaving our lives to the hands of fate

We tend to kill each other in cold blood

Like ripping the head off a newly formed bud

Such lack of respect and sense of self worth

With not thought at all to the miracle of birth

As for crime, there never seems to be an end

Always lives and possessions we have to defend

Many hearts are filled with sorrow and dismay

At how our world is becoming today

In our thoughts

Love from Gloria Graham – Chris Terry and Families XXXX

I only heard about this last Sunday 30/08/07. I was deeply shocked by the news & very upset I could not be there to pay my respects. The last time I saw Jim was at the England U21 game at Carrow Road. We always had good banter every time West Ham were playing at Norwich. We worked together for over 10 years & we had great banter throughout that time. Sleep well mate.

Dear Jim tragically taken away from your family ,wont forget your kind smiling face and twinkling eyes missed by so many , how hard to imagine the pain of loosing a son ,brother ,husband ,and daddy in such a tragic way,
God Bless them all and ease the pain.
Jim in Gods loving care ,

Always remembered, Christine , family friend xxx.

I knew Jim as James when he lived in Grant St I lived a street away and there was a few of us that would hang about together.

I can’t believe someone has taken his life, I have my thoughts on that person which I can’t write here but I’m sure we all feel the same way!!!

I used to say hi to him at football, bless him how could that person do such a thing, he deserves more than 15 years lets hope they never let him out!!!

And also my condolences to Jims family.

Sleep tight Jim

Thinking of you and your family xxx

Julie Crowley (Brown)

Although Justice has been done it will never bring you back to the family where you belong, We still miss you as much now as then, but the memories and the funny times people have had will always be with us,1 of mine is of you at Caitlins party wearing Kyles fat controller hat with ya big round face and the rosy cheeks, perfect, lol!!!
You live on through Kyle coz he is a cracker,so funny like you......
Loads of love to ya, keep watching that boy.
Tasha and family.xx.

I went to school with Jim, all the way from Nelson 1st through to Bowthorpe and did a lot of the same subjects as Jim at Bowthorpe. We lived close to each other and socialised outside of school. Even when we left school, we worked for the same firm (Grant St Beds). So I guess I knew Jim for virtually all of his life, a life cruelly cut short.

I've spent a lot of time thinking about what Jim was all about and all of the tributes paid to him are spot on - always smiling, happy-go-lucky, kind and considerate.

In latter years, Jim and I lost touch, although every time I saw him, he was smiling, cheery and full of beans.

I feel proud, privileged and honoured to have known you Jim and to have considered you as one of my very best friends. This world is a far emptier place without you.

Now that the trial is over, I hope that you can rest in peace. Kyle is a tribute to you and Kim and your spirit will live on in him. I miss you, my friend.

Dave Taylor
